Expect to coteach dynamic 5th and 6th grade accelerated math classes in a school where students consistently work 1–2 grade levels above the norm. With dedicated co-planning time, a supportive team, and meaningful engagement with students and families, you’ll make a true difference—while also investing in yourself.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Special Education Teacher certification and licensure
  • Experience with upper elementary or middle school math (Accelerated Math, Prealgebra, or Invision Math preferred)
  • Skilled in writing IEPs and tailoring instructional interventions
  • Strong communication abilities to partner with parents, co-teachers, and school staff
  • Previous experience managing a caseload of students with varying needs

Role Responsibilities:

  • Coteach Accelerated Math 5 and Prealgebra for 5th and 6th grade
  • Four 50-minute math periods daily, Monday through Friday (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
  • Collaborate during two protected 50-minute co-planning periods
  • Deliver pull-out, specialized math instruction to a caseload of 8–10 students
  • Develop IEPs and maintain regular, open parent communication
  • Contribute actively to a positive, high-achieving learning environment
