Key Qualifications:

  • Active Connecticut Special Education Teacher License
  • Certification(s) as required for special education in Connecticut
  • Previous experience supporting diverse learners in school settings
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
  • Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet individual student needs

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality instruction to students with disabilities, following IEP goals and district guidelines
  • Assess and track student progress, documenting outcomes and adapting plans as necessary
  • Work closely with general education teachers, administrators, and families to promote inclusive practices
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to program planning
  • Foster a supportive and engaging classroom environment that celebrates every student’s strengths
