Key Qualifications:

• Valid Connecticut Special Education Teacher License required
• All state-mandated certifications for special education must be current
• Prior experience utilizing CT-SEDS highly preferred
• Previous Special Education classroom experience strongly valued
• Solid collaboration and communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction to students with varying needs as outlined in their IEPs
• Collaborate with general education staff, families, and related service providers
• Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations
• Oversee classroom management and ensure an inclusive, supportive atmosphere
• Prepare and maintain documentation for IEP meetings and progress monitoring
• Use technology to support learning and streamline assessments

Position Details:

• High school role: September 28 – December 23
• Middle school role: Start date ASAP, end date tentative
• 35 hours per week, contract basis
• Fully onsite responsibilities
