Key Qualifications:
- Active Connecticut Special Education Teacher License
- Certification(s) as required for special education in Connecticut
- Previous experience supporting diverse learners in school settings
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet individual student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality instruction to students with disabilities, following IEP goals and district guidelines
- Assess and track student progress, documenting outcomes and adapting plans as necessary
- Work closely with general education teachers, administrators, and families to promote inclusive practices
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to program planning
- Foster a supportive and engaging classroom environment that celebrates every student’s strengths
