Calling all passionate Special Education Teachers! Multiple contract opportunities are available for adaptable educators seeking meaningful work during the upcoming school semester. This position provides the chance to work onsite with students across all age groups, filling temporary leave assignments with the possibility for extension or transition to other roles.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Connecticut Special Education Teacher License (current and active)
  • Familiarity with all age groups and ability to adapt instruction accordingly
  • Previous experience in a school-based special education setting is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible and collaborative mindset to integrate seamlessly into a dynamic team
  • Ability to uphold individualized education plan (IEP) implementation and documentation

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide quality instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs across various grade levels
  • Implement and maintain individualized education plans (IEPs) for assigned students
  • Monitor and track student progress while engaging in regular communication with families and multidisciplinary teams
  • Manage student behavior using positive reinforcement and evidence-based strategies
  • Deliver a supportive classroom environment that promotes inclusion and academic development
  • Fulfill all duties of the regular classroom teacher during coverage assignments
