Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification
  • Experience working with Pre-K students or early childhood special education
  • Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, therapists, and families
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for student growth

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction and support for young learners with diverse abilities
  • Develop and implement individualized educational plans tailored to each student’s unique needs
  • Create engaging, inclusive classroom environments that encourage social, emotional, and academic growth
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess student progress and adjust strategies as needed
  • Foster strong communication with families to support students outside of school
  • Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings and professional development
