Special Education Teacher in Waterbury, CT

This is a full-time contract position, with a typical day spanning about 7 hours (anticipated schedule is approximately 8:25 AM to 3:25 PM, subject to slight adjustments).

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teaching certification for the state of Connecticut
• Prior experience working with elementary or middle grade special education students preferred
• Knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs) and effective differentiation practices
• Strong communication skills for engaging families, students, and staff
• Ability to collaborate with related service providers and support staff

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, individualized instruction in a self-contained classroom for grades 4-6
• Implement IEPs, track progress, and provide regular updates to families and administration
