Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification for the state of Connecticut
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Patience, creativity, and commitment to inclusive education

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver engaging instruction tailored to individual student needs
• Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages academic, emotional, and social growth
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and academic interventions
• Regularly assess and document student progress, adapting approaches as needed to ensure success
• Attend meetings, trainings, and family conferences as required
