Step into a vital remote role supporting students as a Special Education Case Manager/Coordinator serving a high school caseload. This full-time contract position runs tentatively from August 28, 2026, to June 18, 2027, aligning with the school calendar and offering you the chance to make a meaningful difference in students' educational journeys.

You will lead special education processes for approximately 45 students across two grades, managing all aspects of their IEPs and acting as the primary point of contact for families and educational staff. If you excel at virtual case management and value organized, student-centered teamwork, this role invites you to leverage your expertise in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Vermont Special Educator licensure required
  • Demonstrated experience as a virtual SPED case manager in Vermont
  • Deep knowledge of IEP development, compliance, and special education law
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
  • Comfort collaborating virtually with educators and service providers
  • Must provide two supervisor references from previous virtual special education roles

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all aspects of case management for 45 students in two high school grades
  • Lead and facilitate IEP meetings, evaluations, and re-evaluations
  • Write and maintain compliant IEPs; track progress and ensure procedural timelines
  • Regularly communicate progress, goals, and concerns with staff and families
  • Analyze academic and behavioral data to inform IEPs and support decisions
  • Ensure accommodations and modifications are effectively implemented
  • Foster collaborative communication with a dedicated team

As the central coordinator, you will ensure every student receives the support they need by maintaining rigorous processes, clear communication, and unwavering compliance.
