Special Education Teacher in Waterbury, VT

We are seeking passionate educators for two in-person contract roles: one at a middle school and another at an elementary school, each providing vital services in a collaborative environment near Waterbury, VT.

You’ll play an essential part in helping students access education by delivering personalized instruction tailored to individual needs. These full-time roles each offer 37.5 hours per week and are ideal for educators committed to fostering inclusive classrooms.

What You’ll Need:

• Fully credentialed to teach Special Education in accordance with state requirements
• Proven experience working with elementary or middle school students in a classroom setting
• Strong understanding of IEP development, special education processes, and differentiated instruction
• Effective communication skills to partner with support staff, families, and general education teachers
• Commitment to 100% in-person instruction for the entire contract period

Your Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized lesson plans based on student IEP goals
• Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and related service providers for student success
• Conduct assessments and regularly monitor students’ progress
• Actively participate in IEP meetings and maintain timely documentation
