This role serves a very small caseload, providing the opportunity for highly individualized instruction and consistent student support.

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver specialized instruction in a self-contained SEL environment

Implement IEP goals addressing academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs

Utilize positive behavior supports and SEL strategies to promote student growth

Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and school staff

Monitor and document student progress in accordance with IEP requirements

Participate in team meetings and maintain communication with families
Required Qualifications:

Valid Connecticut Special Education certification

Experience with SEL-based or behavior-focused programs preferred

Strong skills in classroom structure, relationship building, and behavior support

Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
