Qualifications:
- Valid Maine teaching license for elementary age groups
- Special Education Teacher certification required
- Experience supporting students in K-2, especially with SLD, preferred
- Ability to develop and modify curriculum to meet diverse learning needs
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for building rapport with young children and collaborating with families and staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction for students with Specific Learning Disabilities in an elementary K-2 setting
- Create and adapt lesson plans designed to develop cognitive, social, and emotional skills
- Foster a safe, inclusive classroom that encourages engagement and growth
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success
