What You Bring:

  • Valid Special Education Teaching Certification
  • Experience in resource or self-contained classrooms, preferably serving moderate to severe needs
  • Proficiency utilizing AAC devices and supporting non-verbal students
  • Ability to work effectively with paraprofessionals and related service providers

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage an Intensive Resource Room for grades 1-6 (total of 6 students)
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Foster a nurturing, inclusive classroom setting
  • Collaborate with paraprofessionals and therapy/service providers
  • Support students with daily routines, self-care, and communication needs
