Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field
• Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) and Learning Behavior Specialist I (LBS1) endorsement for Illinois
• Understanding of child development and knowledge of current instructional methodologies
• Previous classroom or teaching experience strongly preferred
• Strong communication skills to work effectively with students, families, and educational staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of elementary-aged students, ensuring individualized needs are met
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) in alignment with IDEA and state guidelines
• Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and families to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
• Employ a range of evidence-based instructional practices tailored to each student’s strengths and challenges
• Foster positive, inclusive classroom communities and support the social-emotional growth of every learner
