Step into an impactful opportunity supporting students as a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This full-time contract position is based on-site and focused on creating an inclusive educational environment. With approximately 33.25 hours per week, you’ll empower students and collaborate closely with dedicated educational professionals to foster meaningful learning experiences.
There are two dynamic roles available: one leading Life Skills instruction in a self-contained classroom, and another concentrating on Instructional/Resource support. Applicants will be considered for the position that best matches their background and interests—please specify your preferred assignment.
To thrive in this role, you should bring:
- Valid, current Professional Educator License (PEL)—required for all applicants
- Experience working with students with diverse learning or behavioral needs
- Strong communication skills to effectively partner with students, families, and staff
- Adaptability and creativity in curriculum delivery and accommodations
- Commitment to fostering a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom environment
In your daily work, responsibilities will include:
- Designing and delivering tailored instructional plans
- Collaborating with general education teachers and support staff as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Developing, implementing, and monitoring IEP goals for student progress
- Supporting students in self-contained or resource/instructional settings, based on position
- Creating a welcoming classroom atmosphere for all learners
This contract spans from August 17, 2026, to May 27, 2027, offering an excellent opportunity to make a difference in students’ lives while gaining valuable teaching experience. The role is in person only and provides a stable, rewarding schedule throughout the academic year.
