Bring your expertise as a Special Education teacher to an impactful contract opportunity working with elementary students. In this role, you will support young learners with moderate to severe needs as an ISE Specialist, collaborating closely with staff to ensure each child’s success and well-being.

This position involves managing a dedicated caseload of K-5 students. You’ll create and implement individualized educational plans, monitor progress, and adapt instruction to maximize each student’s growth. Partnering with educators, therapists, and families, you’ll help build an inclusive environment where every child can thrive.

Qualifications:

  • Active and valid state teaching license as required for Special Education
  • Certification specific to Special Education
  • Experience instructing K-5 age groups, ideally with a focus on moderate/severe needs
  • Skilled in developing, executing, and tracking IEPs
  • Ability to provide differentiated instruction and behavioral support
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Organizational strengths for managing caseloads and relevant documentation

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the point person for an assigned elementary caseload
  • Develop and deliver individualized lessons according to IEPs
  • Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
  • Work collaboratively with general education teachers and specialists
  • Communicate effectively with families regarding student achievements and goals
  • Create a supportive, inclusive classroom climate for all learners
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations and district requirements

This full-time contract position runs Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, totaling 37.5 hours a week.
