Certified Grades K - 5 Special Education Teacher - Waukesha, WI

Bring your expertise as a dedicated Special Education professional to an enriching opportunity supporting elementary-aged students! This contract role calls for a compassionate, skilled Moderate/Severe ISE Specialist, eager to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students in grades K-5.

As a vital contributor to an inclusive educational environment, you'll collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to ensure each learner's needs are met with individualized, evidence-based instruction and care.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Hold an active, valid state teaching license for Special Education
• Certified to teach at the elementary level, specifically grades K–5
• Experience supporting students with moderate to severe disabilities preferred
• Confidence developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction, intervention, and classroom support tailored to each student’s unique learning goals
• Develop, review, and update IEPs while maintaining ongoing communication with families and team members
• Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to foster academic, social, and functional skill development
• Use progress monitoring and assessment data to guide instructional decisions
• Uphold a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that values each child’s abilities
