Special Education Teacher - Waxahachie, TX

Step into an impactful role supporting middle school students as a Special Education resource English teacher. In this full-time, onsite contract opportunity, you’ll help empower learners with diverse needs, making a difference every single day. Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education certification/license in Texas
• Content certification in Reading 4-8 or equivalent, required
• Strong grasp of modifying curriculum and differentiating instruction for a variety of learning styles
• Experience working in a resource classroom at the middle school level preferred
• Must have an active, unrestricted Texas teaching license (we cannot consider candidates with a license hold)
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and classroom management skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging English instruction and individualized support to middle school students with disabilities
• Adapt and differentiate reading and language arts curricula based on students’ IEPs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to implement effective strategies
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, progress reports, and IEP updates
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student goal setting
