Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred
- Strong understanding of individualized instruction and accommodations
- Ability to collaborate with care staff and follow educational plans
- Compassion, patience, and strong communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct Special Education services to one preschool student in a long-term care setting
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lessons aligned with the student’s IEP goals
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the unique needs of the child
- Track progress and document student growth and areas needing additional support
- Communicate regularly with care facility staff and other professionals involved in the student’s development
- Adhere to professional guidelines and maintain required documentation
