A contract opportunity is available for a skilled Special Education Teacher to support high school students for the 2026-2027 academic year. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference by helping students reach their fullest potential in a supportive educational setting.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Holds a valid state certification in Special Education (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous experience working with high school students in a special education setting preferred
• Comprehensive understanding of IEP development, case management, and progress monitoring
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Ability to foster an inclusive classroom environment and adapt instruction to diverse learning needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for assigned students
• Provide direct instruction in accordance with IEP goals and outlined curriculum
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to support student success
• Conduct assessments, gather data, and maintain accurate records of student progress and needs
• Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school-based team initiatives
• Utilize effective behavior management techniques to support student participation and growth
• Encourage student independence and self-advocacy skills
