Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Active teaching license in Special Education, valid in the state
• Certification to teach at the elementary level (grades K-5)
• Proven experience working with children with exceptionalities in a K-5 setting
• Strong skills in creating and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Exceptional communication skills for working with students, parents, and colleagues
• Ability to adapt lessons and teaching methods to meet individual student needs
• Positive, compassionate attitude and a strong sense of advocacy for students

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver individualized instruction for students with varying needs in compliance with IEPs
• Foster a safe and inclusive classroom that promotes self-confidence and achievement
• Collaborate closely with general education staff, administrators, and parents to support student progress
• Track and assess academic, social, and behavioral development, maintaining accurate documentation
• Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies based on student progress and assessment data
• Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school activities as required
