Skills & Qualifications:
- Active Special Education Teacher certification
- Previous experience with K–8th grade students (or willingness to work across age groups)
- Solid background in delivering specialized instruction in reading and math
- Familiarity with supporting students with Specific Learning Disabilities and developmental delays
- Collaborative approach and strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing caseload needs
Role Highlights:
- Provide direct instruction to small groups (caseloads range from 7–8 up to 8 students per position)
- Develop, implement, and track IEP goals for your students
- Work closely with school staff, including paraprofessionals and speech-language pathologists, to ensure comprehensive student support
- Deliver tailored interventions and targeted instruction; no extreme behaviors reported
- Engage with a small number of students in intimate school settings (individual schools house 40 students or fewer)
- Participate in team meetings to discuss student progress and adapt instructional strategies as needed
- Manage planning and preparation time in addition to direct student services (hours will be confirmed prior to start)
