Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid state certification in Special Education
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
• Classroom experience working with students who have a range of disabilities
• Ability to implement and adapt Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Commitment to culturally responsive teaching practices

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to meet individual student needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with state and federal requirements
• Assess student progress regularly and adjust instructional strategies as necessary
• Foster a safe, supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to provide comprehensive support
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development activities
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with district policies
