K-5 Grades 6 - 8 Special Education Teacher | Wellsboro, Pennsylvania

Your role will be instrumental in guiding a diverse group of learners, helping them develop academically, emotionally, and socially. With a manageable caseload starting at 13 students—and potentially growing up to 20—you’ll have the chance to make a measurable difference every day.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Experience teaching grades 6–8 preferred; open to K–5 or 9–12 teaching backgrounds
• Expertise in working with students requiring emotional and behavioral support
• Strong skills in differentiation, IEP development, and behavior management
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with staff and families
• Adaptable and empathetic, with a creative approach to classroom engagement

What You’ll Do:

• Provide individualized and group instruction to meet students’ IEP goals
• Foster a safe, supportive learning environment for students with emotional support needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and support staff
• Monitor, assess, and document student progress and adjust plans as needed
• Communicate regularly with families to support student growth and engagement
• Manage classroom routines, behavior plans, and modifications
• Participate in team meetings and professional development activities as scheduled

Role Details:

• Contract runs ASAP through 6/5/26
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30am–3:10pm
