Special Education Teacher - West Chester, PA

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher credentials
• Experience with elementary-aged students, preferably in a special education or ASD setting
• Knowledge of evidence-based strategies for supporting non-verbal and multi-mixed ability levels
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with teaching assistants, therapists, and families
• Ability to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapt curriculum for diverse learning needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Foster a safe, encouraging environment for 1st–3rd grade students with autism and other exceptional needs
• Collaborate closely with support staff to maximize each student’s learning and development
• Modify instruction and classroom activities to meet individual student needs, with appropriate use of assistive technology
