Key Qualifications:

• Active state certification or licensure required for assignment.
• Bachelor’s degree necessary to qualify for an emergency teaching permit.
• Demonstrated expertise in special education content and instructional strategies.
• Prior experience within a K-12 school environment.
• Strong classroom and behavioral management skills, with a confident approach managing urban classroom dynamics.
• Comfortable working within district requirements and adapting to new locations.
• Ability to create and deliver lesson plans aligned with district and state standards, incorporating formative assessment and instructional differentiation.
• Experience collaborating on educational goals and progress monitoring.
• Ability to reliably commute and work onsite between 8:30AM-4PM; schedule adjustments are not available.
• Capable of completing all Pennsylvania educational clearances before start.
• Reliable transportation required.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized lesson plans meeting state, district, and student-specific needs.
• Foster a positive, productive classroom environment, supporting academic and behavioral progress.
• Utilize resource materials effectively to supplement core instruction.
• Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and support staff to promote student development.
• Engage in professional development and comply with documentation as required.
