Special Education Teacher in West Chester, PA

You will work 35 hours per week, with a schedule from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, and be an essential part of an engaged, dynamic school community.

This assignment starts as soon as possible and extends through June 10, 2027. You’ll play a critical role in shaping students’ learning by designing and implementing lesson plans based on differentiated instruction and current state and district standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include classroom management, collaborating with colleagues, assessing student progress, and providing ongoing support for a diverse caseload of learners.

Key Experience & Qualifications:

• Active, valid certification or licensure suitable for assigned caseload
• Demonstrated mastery of subject matter and instructional best practices
• Experience within school environments, particularly in urban settings
• Strong classroom and behavioral management skills
• Ability to create and adapt lesson plans aligned to formative assessments and standards
• Bachelor’s degree required to obtain emergency teaching permit
• Must have reliable transportation and flexibility to work onsite during set school hours
• Familiarity with resource materials to enhance lessons and support diverse learners
• All necessary clearances for PA schools completed or in progress
