Special Education Teacher - West Hartford, CT

This is an onsite opportunity offering two open positions with assignments at a central high school and a middle school—one beginning September 28th through late December, and another available for immediate start with an end date to be determined. Qualifications:

• Current and active Special Education Teacher license for Connecticut
• Any additional certifications required to teach Special Education in CT
• Experience with CT-SEDS is strongly preferred
• Proven ability to adapt instructional methods to meet diverse learning needs
• Strong collaborative skills for working with staff, students, and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) according to student needs
• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction for students with varying disabilities
• Maintain up-to-date documentation and compliance with CT regulations and district policies
• Partner closely with paraprofessionals, therapists, and other support staff
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress
