Make an impact in the lives of young learners by supporting diverse students throughout the upcoming school year. This contract position calls for passionate Special Education Resource Teachers to work with elementary and middle school students from August 2026 through June 2027. You’ll provide meaningful instruction in resource classroom settings for Kindergarten, Grades 1–2, and Grade 7, delivering tailored support while managing caseloads of K–7th graders. This opportunity is full-time, Monday through Friday, offering between 35–37.5 hours weekly. Multiple positions are available, with a need for three dedicated educators: one specializing in Kindergarten resource support, another for Grades 1–2, and a third for Grade 7 resource/case management. Please note, only in-person candidates will be considered.

Requirements:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification (as required by the state)
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
  • Previous experience working with K–7 student populations is highly valued
  • Strong understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and individualized instruction
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work effectively with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive classroom environments

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized academic and behavioral support to students with diverse needs
  • Serve as a case manager for assigned students; ensure compliance with IEP goals
  • Collaborate closely with general education staff and fellow special education colleagues
  • Maintain thorough documentation and support data-driven decision-making
  • Engage in ongoing parent communication and team meetings
  • Adapt curriculum and modify instruction based on student needs
