Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid state certification in Special Education
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in special education or related field
- Previous experience working with students in K-12 special education settings
- In-depth knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and documentation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Flexibility to adapt to varying student needs and educational programs
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction tailored to diverse learners with a variety of disabilities
- Develop, review, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal laws
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure accommodations and modifications support student access and success
- Conduct assessments and interpret results to guide instruction and monitor student progress
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters growth, confidence, and independence
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student goals, progress, and ongoing needs
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and required documentation
