Requirements:
• Valid Connecticut Special Education Teacher Certification (165 or 265)
• Open to candidates with DSAP certification
• Experience or strong interest in supporting students at the secondary (middle or high school) level
• Knowledge of IEP development and case management practices
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
• Commitment to supporting inclusive learning environments

Responsibilities include:
• Writing and implementing IEPs that reflect students’ unique strengths and needs
• Providing direct instruction in individual and small-group settings
• Managing caseloads and maintaining compliance documentation
• Collaborating with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Adapting lessons to accommodate diverse learning styles
• Utilizing push-in models to support students within general education classrooms
• Monitoring student progress and adjusting interventions as needed

Compensation for this rewarding role ranges from $39–$53 per hour, reflecting your credentials and impact.
