Key Requirements:

• Active Utah Special Education License/Certification
• Experience teaching or student-teaching in a special education setting
• Familiarity with life skills curriculum and strategies for K-3 students
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff and families
• Dedication to inclusive practices and differentiated instruction

Role Responsibilities:

• Create, implement, and adapt lesson plans to address IEP goals and individual student needs
• Collaborate with classroom aides, therapists, and other professionals
• Foster a nurturing, structured, and supportive classroom environment
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
• Provide ongoing communication with parents and guardians regarding student development
• Maintain detailed records and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
