Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification for Utah (or eligibility to obtain)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
- Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Adaptability when utilizing differentiated instruction and classroom management strategies
- Previous experience in school-based special education settings is preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and track progress on individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with varying disabilities
- Modify curricula and deliver engaging lessons tailored to each student’s learning style
- Foster a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment that promotes growth, confidence, and academic achievement
- Collaborate regularly with parents, support staff, and administrators to maximize student success
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all state and federal regulations
- Participate in professional development and maintain current best practices in special education
