Special Education Teacher | Westbrook, Connecticut

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Connecticut Special Education License (required)
• Background in special education instruction and individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and staff
• Experience managing small caseloads is preferred
• Dedication to fostering a positive, inclusive, and adaptive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver instructional programming tailored to individual student goals and needs
• Implement IEPs and monitor progress, adjusting strategies to maximize student success
• Work collaboratively with related service providers, classroom teachers, and families
• Utilize data and observations to adapt instructional approaches as needed
• Support students’ academic, social, and behavioral growth throughout the school day

Assignment Details:

• Contract position: August 27 through mid-November
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 2:45 pm
