Step into a rewarding position as a Special Education Teacher for the full 2026-2027 academic year. This onsite contract opportunity offers you the chance to create meaningful impact across elementary, middle, and high school levels, working 37.5 hours each week within a supportive educational environment. With caseloads yet to be finalized—ranging from elementary and middle school groups (up to 16 students) to high school classrooms (up to 24)—this role promises both challenge and variety. Openings may be available at multiple grade levels.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current special education teaching licensure or certification (or eligibility) for grades K–12
  • Strong understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and individualized instruction
  • Demonstrated experience, student teaching, or internships within special education settings
  • Proficiency in adapting curriculum and utilizing a variety of instructional strategies to support diverse learning needs
  • Solid communication skills, both with students and as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Ability to foster an inclusive, encouraging classroom atmosphere

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Designing, delivering, and monitoring individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Modifying general education curriculum to meet students’ unique needs
  • Collaborating with general education teachers, specialists, and families
  • Assessing student abilities and growth, making adjustments to instructional strategies as needed
  • Documenting progress and maintaining required compliance records
  • Contributing positively to the school community and participating in professional development
