With full-time hours set at 37.5 per week, you’ll have the consistency to build meaningful connections and foster growth throughout the academic year.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching license or eligibility to obtain one in Ohio
- Previous experience working with elementary, middle, or high school students in a special education setting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for partnering with teachers, specialists, and families
- Ability to adapt instruction to accommodate various learning styles and needs
- Dedication to creating an inclusive, respectful classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s strengths and goals
- Provide differentiated instruction for students with a variety of academic, social, and behavioral needs
- Work closely with general education staff to promote student integration and positive outcomes
- Track student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
- Engage families in their child’s learning journey and communicate regularly regarding progress
- Proactively support and manage classroom behavior to foster a productive, positive atmosphere
Caseload specifics are still being finalized and may include multiple openings. You may work with students ranging in age from elementary (up to 16 students) and middle (up to 16) to high school (up to 24). This role is onsite only at this time, allowing you to be fully present for your students and colleagues.
