An exciting opportunity has opened up for a dedicated Intervention Specialist to support kindergarten students in a welcoming educational environment. This contract position begins as soon as possible and extends through May 27, 2027, offering full-time hours (37.5 per week) to make a meaningful impact in early childhood special education.

You'll collaborate with a dynamic team to serve a diverse student population, facilitating learning in resource rooms, small group settings, and inclusive classroom models. Your expertise will be crucial in supporting students with a range of abilities and needs.

Qualifications:

  • Valid and active Ohio certification or license: Education of the Handicapped K-12 or Intervention Specialist K-12 (Moderate/Intensive or Mild/Moderate).
  • Strong ability to deliver instruction in resource rooms, lead small group tutoring, and implement successful inclusion strategies.
  • Experience working with students with multiple disabilities.
  • Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and implementing IEPs.
  • Demonstrated success collaborating with fellow educators and support staff.
  • Commitment to addressing the diverse needs of learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction and interventions for kindergarten students based on individual education plans.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the unique needs of each student.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and paraprofessionals to ensure inclusive practices.
  • Maintain accurate student records and prepare IEP documentation.
  • Foster an environment that promotes growth, independence, and skill acquisition.
  • Communicate regularly with families regarding progress and goals.
