Special Education Teacher - Westfield, Massachusetts

The position runs from August 25, 2025, through June 19, 2026, with consistent hours from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid teaching license in Special Education
• Experience working with elementary-age students, particularly those with therapeutic and behavioral needs
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Ability to adapt lessons to varying learning styles and abilities
• Collaborative mindset for working with paraprofessionals, therapists, and families
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and small group instruction based on IEPs in a substantially separate setting
• Foster a safe, supportive, and structured classroom environment
• Work closely with related service providers to implement therapies as needed
• Collect and analyze student data to inform instruction and track progress
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student achievements and needs
• Support students’ social-emotional growth through positive behavioral strategies
