The position runs from August 25, 2025, through June 19, 2026, with consistent hours from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid teaching license in Special Education
- Experience working with elementary-age students, particularly those with therapeutic and behavioral needs
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Ability to adapt lessons to varying learning styles and abilities
- Collaborative mindset for working with paraprofessionals, therapists, and families
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small group instruction based on IEPs in a substantially separate setting
- Foster a safe, supportive, and structured classroom environment
- Work closely with related service providers to implement therapies as needed
- Collect and analyze student data to inform instruction and track progress
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student achievements and needs
- Support students’ social-emotional growth through positive behavioral strategies
