Special Education Teacher - Westfield, NY

Shape young lives as a Special Education Teacher, supporting students in grades K-2 within a 6:1:1 self-contained classroom. Your expertise will provide critical support and individualized instruction to students with a range of special needs, helping them achieve their fullest potential in early education. You’ll join a dynamic team dedicated to fostering a nurturing and structured learning environment.

Qualifications:

• Valid New York State Special Education Teacher Certification, including required endorsement
• Experience working in self-contained classrooms, particularly with grades K-2, is highly valued
• Strong classroom management and individualized instruction skills
• Commitment to fostering social-emotional and academic growth

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction in a 6:1:1 self-contained setting
• Develop and implement IEPs to meet diverse student needs
• Engage in daily collaboration with support staff, therapists, and families

• Conduct ongoing assessment and adjust teaching methods as required
