Qualifications:

• Active and valid Special Education Teacher licensure (verify at https://tcert.alsde.edu/Portal/Public/Pages/SearchCerts.aspx)
• Experience working with elementary or middle school students preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to effectively collaborate within multidisciplinary teams
• Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specially designed instruction tailored to student IEP goals across self-contained, resource, and inclusion settings
• Develop and implement differentiated lesson plans for diverse learners
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and compliance records
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with staff, students, and families to support educational success
• Foster an encouraging, positive, and safe classroom atmosphere
• Adapt strategies to meet the individual needs of students and promote their growth
