Qualifications:
- Active and valid Special Education Teacher licensure (verify at https://tcert.alsde.edu/Portal/Public/Pages/SearchCerts.aspx)
- Experience working with elementary or middle school students preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to effectively collaborate within multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specially designed instruction tailored to student IEP goals across self-contained, resource, and inclusion settings
- Develop and implement differentiated lesson plans for diverse learners
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and compliance records
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with staff, students, and families to support educational success
- Foster an encouraging, positive, and safe classroom atmosphere
- Adapt strategies to meet the individual needs of students and promote their growth
