Desired qualifications and experience:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred)
• Previous experience working in a school-based setting
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt lesson plans and instructional strategies for individualized needs
• Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and documentation
• Proven organizational skills and a passion for student growth

Primary responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students’ unique needs
• Deliver instruction using evidence-based methods and accommodations
• Track students’ progress and maintain accurate records
• Collaborate effectively with general education teachers, therapists, and families to foster student success
• Participate in team meetings, staff trainings, and professional development activities
• Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student engagement, independence, and self-advocacy
