Special Education Teacher | Whites City, New Mexico

Openings are available for 10 Resource/Inclusion Teachers who bring dedication, adaptability, and a learner-centered approach to their work. Additionally, we are hiring 2 Case Managers who will focus exclusively on case management responsibilities, ensuring cohesive educational plans and fostering growth for each student on your caseload.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification appropriate to state requirements
• Experience developing and implementing IEPs for students with varying needs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to coordinate with general education staff, families, and specialists
• Organizational skills for thoughtful caseload and documentation management
• Comfortable working in-person or virtually, utilizing technology to support student engagement and progress
• For Case Manager roles: experience in IEP processes, compliance monitoring, and educational advocacy preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• For Resource/Inclusion Teachers: deliver individualized and small-group instruction; adapt curriculum and modify lessons; track student progress; collaborate with classroom teachers and related service providers
• For Case Managers: manage IEP timelines and documentation; organize and moderate IEP meetings; ensure compliance with federal, state, and district guidelines; maintain thorough communication with families and staff
• Maintain an inclusive and supportive environment for all learners
• Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities
