Special Education Teacher - Whitewater, WI

This contract opportunity focuses on delivering ID programming to 4th-6th graders, allowing you to work closely with a small caseload and create meaningful, individualized learning experiences.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience working with intermediate-level students (4th-6th grade preferred)
• Familiarity or direct experience with ID (Intellectual Disabilities) programming
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for partnering with educators, staff, and families
• Ability to create a supportive, adaptive classroom environment

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
• Deliver direct instruction to students with intellectual disabilities in a supportive classroom setting
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instruction as needed to foster growth
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
• Engage with families and caregivers to promote positive, ongoing communication and partnerships
• Uphold best practices in special education while creating a nurturing and motivating learning atmosphere
