In this role, you’ll work with students requiring moderate to severe support, helping them reach their personal and academic milestones. As a valued team member, you’ll deliver individualized instruction and case management, collaborating closely with staff and families.
What you’ll bring:
- Valid Special Education teaching credential (mod/severe emphasis preferred)
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting
- Background in case management for students with disabilities
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Compassion, adaptability, and a commitment to inclusive education
Key responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver instruction tailored to students with moderate to severe disabilities
- Serve as a case manager for assigned students, ensuring compliance with IEPs and required documentation
- Assess students’ needs and monitor progress, using data to inform teaching strategies
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and paraprofessionals
- Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and ongoing training
