As an in-person Exceptional Children (EC) educator, you will have the unique opportunity to split your time between a middle school and a high school, championing inclusion and resource needs in dynamic classroom settings. Dedicate 35 hours each week to guiding students toward their academic and personal best.

What We’re Looking For:

• Valid North Carolina Teaching License (Middle/High)
• Strengths in collaborative teamwork and flexibility
• Experience in inclusion/resource special education settings is highly desirable
• Confidence implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting curriculum
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Commitment to maintaining a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment

What You’ll Do:

• Serve as an EC teacher between both a middle and high school, supporting diverse learners
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs to ensure each student receives customized support
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, aides, and administration to foster inclusion
• Adapt lesson plans and teaching methods to accommodate and engage all students
• Provide targeted intervention, resource instruction, and positive behavioral supports
• Regularly communicate progress and collaborate with families and staff
