Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification
  • Proven experience working with middle school students, preferably in a resource or inclusion classroom
  • Strong classroom management and collaboration skills
  • Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs
  • Ability to modify curriculum and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs
  • Team player mindset with excellent communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized and small group instruction to 7th grade students in a resource classroom
  • Develop, implement, and track IEP goals and accommodations
  • Collaborate with general educators, families, and related service providers
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instructional techniques as needed
  • Create a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom culture
  • Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to IEP meetings
