Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification/licensure (appropriate state credential required)
• Experience working within a resource classroom or similar special education environments
• Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Ability to effectively modify curriculum and provide differentiated instruction
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with students, staff, and families
• Compassion, patience, and genuine commitment to student success

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, adapt, and deliver lesson plans tailored to individual student needs
• Manage a resource classroom for 6th grade learners, providing small-group and individualized instruction
• Develop and monitor IEP goals and accommodations; document student progress
• Work closely with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to support inclusion
• Foster a supportive environment that encourages academic and social growth
• Maintain positive relationships with students and their families through regular communication
