Grades 9 - 12 Certified Special Education Teacher in Willimantic, CT

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working with mild to moderate disabilities preferred
• Skilled at implementing IEPs and modifying curriculum for individual needs
• Capable of building positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
• Ability to collaborate in team settings and participate in ongoing professional development

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality instruction within inclusion and resource settings for grades 9–12
• Adapt lesson plans to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs
• Support students’ growth academically, socially, and emotionally
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on student progress
• Communicate regularly with parents, care teams, and administrators
• Participate actively in IEP meetings and ensure compliance with all state and federal guidelines
