Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

  • Active Delaware Special Education Teacher certification (required before school starts)
  • Experience with the Infinite IEP program strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate in co-taught environments
  • Commitment to inclusive education and small group instruction
  • Familiarity with 8th and 12th grade English curriculum
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach 8th and 12th grade English to students with diverse learning needs
  • Manage a caseload of 23 students, ensuring all IEP requirements are met
  • Deliver instruction in two co-taught classes, working closely with general education teachers
  • Lead two small group classes, providing targeted interventions and support
  • Utilize two daily prep periods for lesson planning, collaboration, and paperwork
  • Implement progress monitoring, data collection, and documentation using Infinite IEP (if familiar)
  • Foster a positive, supportive classroom environment that supports student growth and achievement
