Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Illinois PEL with LBS1 endorsement (or eligibility)
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
• Experience in inclusive and resource settings, including co-teaching models
• Ability to support exceptionalities such as SLD, OHI, AUT, ID, and DD
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for teamwork and parent collaboration
• Adaptable and compassionate approach to guiding students with varying needs

Position Details & Responsibilities:

• 6th-grade co-teaching position with a projected caseload of 11, serving students with SLD and OHI
• Two direct instruction roles for K-3rd grade, each managing a caseload of approximately 10 students with OHI, AUT, SLD, ID, and DD
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, specialists, and families to foster student growth
• Adapt curriculum, provide targeted interventions, and maintain thorough documentation
• Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives to enhance student success
