Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree is required
- Active Professional Educator’s License with LBS 1 endorsement
- Experience teaching in special education at the elementary level is strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of IEP development, accommodations, and differentiated instruction
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaborative skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student goals
- Deliver engaging instruction to elementary students with varying abilities
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student progress
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and report findings to relevant stakeholders
- Adapt teaching strategies to complement student learning styles and needs
