Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current VT Special Education Teacher certification required; applications also considered if certification is pending

  • Ability to differentiate and adapt instruction for diverse learners
  • Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and interventions to students in a self-contained classroom setting
  • Develop and implement IEPs, tailoring plans to individual student needs and goals
  • Foster a supportive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Collaborate closely with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, service providers, and families
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as necessary
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure all required documentation is complete and timely
