Three specialized teaching opportunities are open:

• High School Focus Teacher (Inclusive Behavior Program): Support students who benefit from gentle redirection and a calm space to decompress—no severe behavior management required.

• Elementary Inclusion/Resource Teacher: Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, providing both in-class support and delivering adapted content in a dedicated special education environment.

• Elementary & High School Alternate Curriculum Class (Lifeskills) Teacher: Guide students with cognitive impairments, delivering life skills-based instruction personalized to meet each learner’s needs.

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility for certification)
• Experience working in school settings with children and adolescents
• Commitment to inclusive education and differentiated instruction
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Adaptability in both inclusion/resource and self-contained settings

Responsibilities:

• Develop, modify, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Monitor and document student progress toward academic and behavioral goals
• Adapt teaching strategies and curriculum to accommodate a diverse range of learning needs
• Foster a positive, supportive classroom culture
• Collaborate with general education staff, families, and support professionals
• Provide behavioral support and assist with classroom management
• Create engaging, accessible instructional materials for students
