Exciting opportunities are available for dedicated Special Education Teachers seeking contract positions for the 2026-2027 school year. Located near Wimberley, TX, these roles are vital to supporting students in inclusive and alternate curriculum settings, focusing on helping each student succeed in a supportive and engaging environment.

We are seeking three skilled professionals to fill the following roles:

  • High School Focus Teacher (Inclusive Behavior Program): Support students whose behaviors are manageable with guidance, offering redirection and a peaceful workspace when needed.
  • Elementary Inclusion/Resource Teacher: Collaborate with general education teachers, co-teaching and delivering adapted content in both mainstream and special education settings.
  • Elementary and High School Alternate Curriculum Class (Lifeskills) Teacher: Deliver customized instruction and support for students with cognitive impairments requiring alternate academics.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification, or ability to obtain certification before the start date.
  • Previous experience teaching in special education settings preferred.
  • Strong skills in adapting curriculum and instructional methods for diverse learners.
  • Ability to foster a positive, respectful learning environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with staff, students, and families.
  • Capacity for patience, flexibility, and solution-oriented thinking.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Modify lessons and assessments to meet student needs.
  • Provide direct instruction and behavioral support as outlined in program roles.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, related services providers, and families.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of student progress and participation.
  • Promote inclusion and support students’ social and emotional growth.
