Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Previous classroom experience in a special education setting (inclusion or self-contained preferred)
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Experience developing and implementing IEPs
• Familiarity with adaptive curriculum and differentiated instruction
• Passion for student advocacy and empowerment

Key Opportunities & Responsibilities:

• Inclusion Model (High School): Support diverse learners within mainstream classrooms, collaborating closely with general education teachers and providing tailored interventions.
• Self-Contained Model (Elementary): Lead instruction in a specialized classroom focused on the STARS program, planning and adapting lessons to meet each student’s developmental and academic needs.
• Foster an inclusive, positive classroom atmosphere
• Collect and analyze data to adjust individualized learning plans
• Participate in IEP development and ARD meetings
