Special Education Teacher | Winchester, Tennessee

Work with a maximum caseload of 20 students in an inclusion/resource classroom, fostering a collaborative learning environment where every learner’s unique strengths are celebrated and supported. Your expertise will help drive academic and social progress while partnering closely with general education teachers and paraprofessionals.

Qualifications:

• Valid state Special Education licensure with either a 460 or 145 endorsement (Middle school intervention)
• Demonstrated experience teaching or supporting special education students, particularly at the middle school level
• Strong IEP knowledge and ability to develop, implement, and track individualized goals
• Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for engaging students, staff, and families

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instructional support and intervention services to students with varying abilities within an inclusion/resource setting
• Develop, modify, and implement lesson plans and differentiated materials tailored to each learner’s needs
• Maintain compliance with IEP documentation, reporting, and ongoing progress monitoring
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and specialists to develop and deliver accommodations and modifications
• Foster an encouraging classroom culture that promotes self-advocacy and social-emotional growth
